A Few Examples of Shadows & Outlines


This is an example of a normal style New Times Roman font with a narrow outline. The width of the outline can be made very narrow or extremely wide. Typically the most common outline to letter ratio used is the one shown above.



This is an example of a normal style New Times Roman font with a drop shadow and a narrow outline. As with the basic outline the width of the outline and the depth of the shadow can be adjusted to suit. The most common shadow/outline to letter ratio used is the one shown above.



This is an example of a normal style New Times Roman font with a block shadow and a narrow outline. The block shadow is very similar to the drop shadow. The difference is that the block shadow is just that, a block, which fills in the entire area behind the letters. As with the previous examples the width of the outline and the depth of the shadow can be adjusted to suit.



This is another example of a normal style New Times Roman font with a drop shadow but without an outline. As with the previous shadow examples the width and depth of the shadow can be adjusted as needed.



The shadow or outline can also be offset as shown above. Again, the width and depth of the shadow, as well as the amount of offset, can be adjusted to suit.
