![]() This "Shocker" Cardinal was built by Ron King of Gainesville, Virginia. Ron writes, "This is one of the first successful electric control line stunters. The Shocker is powered with an AXI 2826/10 motor and I use Thunder Power Li-Po batteries. There are a few of us using this power source now, but it's a little more difficult in control line because we do not have throttle controls. I have developed the first microprocessor control to monitor the power to the motor and increase the voltage as the flight progresses. My motor does not sag at the end of the flight as the batteries drain; it stays at a constant speed throughout the flight". Vinyl paint masks were cut for Ron which allowed him to easily paint the lettering on the wing panels. |
